Hotel Lodge de charme Nosy Komba Nosy Be Madagascar

We are located in Madagascar, near Nosy Be in the region known as the Sambirano.

The Sambirano Region

Carte de Madagascar Sambirano region owes its name to the river which originates at the highest point in Madagascar Mt Tsaratanana, down to the bay of Nosy-Be, passing through the town of Ambanja.

Madagascar consists mainly of two large whole climate: the humid East and the dry West . Sambirano region is an anomaly to this pattern, it is both sunny as the West, but moist and green as the East.

For many this micro-climate is god-blessed : minimum 330 days of sunshine year-round with regular rainy night. The forests are lush and bright.

This climate is particularly favorable to crops. Cocoa "Sambirano quality" ubiquitous around Ambanja, enjoys an international reputation. He mingles with spices and aromatic plants: pepper, pink pepper, vanilla, ylang-ylang ...

This region offers many excursions possible. Forests lend themselves particularly for hiking either on foot, by bike or motorcycle. You can visit the large plantations date back to colonial times that have kept a changeless charm.

Nosy Be

Carte de Nosy BeNosy-Be (mg: the Big Island) has long been a tourist mecca of Madagascar. It must be said that the climate combined with a variety of sites and landscapes simply extraordinary are strong arguments.

The first activities are seaside because the sea is warm, calm, especially predictable and full of fish. Nosy-Be has many beautiful beaches lined with coral reefs. The island itself is already beautiful and extremely varied. A passage at the top of Mount Passot will convince you. From the Mountains to the east with the wilderness reserve of Lokobe (primary forest), hills and plains dotted with West lakes (former craters), the view stretches to the islands of Sakatia and Fanihy.

The surroundings are breathtaking. A few minutes by speed boat, tou will discover TanyKely Island and its marine reserve, Russian Bay, Nosy Mamoko, Nosy Kismany that the one we have elected the most beautiful: Nosy Komba.

Further south, you will discover the famous Nosy Iranja and later the islands Radama. North, the Mitsio archipelago satisfies the most demanding fishermen.

Nosy Komba

Carte de Nosy KombaNosy Komba! The island owes its name to the ubiquity of lemur macaco called "Komba" in Malagasy. This island is an extinct volcano, covered with forest, resting on the sea

The island is almost circular about 5 km in diameter and rises to 620 m altitude. It is Moreover, the culmination of the entire region. At the top the view is magical.

Here no roads, no electricity, nature, only nature. The island is much more preserved than its sister Nosy-Be. This is also in our opinion his greatest charm, just 15 minutes by boat from the town and amenities, we are withdrawn from the world, in a timeless and magnificent scenery.

The forest is cultivated here quietly, one can speak of traditional agro-forestry. Large trees (mango, coconut, tropical almond, jackfruit, tulip) provide a light shade for coffee, banana, cocoa, vanilla, pepper and cloves. Many trails connect the villages and hamlets to each other, it's a maze that is better to take the time to know.

The coastline is bordered to the west of a large coral barrier that lends itself particularly to explore underwater. Here the water is warm all year, its temperature varies from 26 °C in July to 30 °C from december to April.
